Starting As A Crocheter

The first time I ever got my hands on a crochet hook and some yarn was when I bought a crochet kit for beginners. I'm not going to lie, it was hard. I restarted the project when I was halfway through, I barely understood how to do some of the stitches, and I forgot to do a vital step when I finished. There were a lot of tears, blood, and sweat shed in the making of that small, innocent amigurumi.

So, you can do what I did and start big, or you can go small and slowly get better and better. When you start big, you can usually get ahead faster, but it can be quite difficult.  While starting slow ensures that you fully learn every small detail, though it might take longer to get to a higher level.

If you're thinking of going big, I recommend doing a crochet kit for beginners (like I did). A popular brand of crochet kits is The Woobles. I especially like these because they come with all the materials you need as well as video instructions. But, they are a bit expensive.  If you instead decide to begin slowly, I think you should continue reading this blog. You could also watch simple Youtube videos, like how to crochet a small flower or heart.

Either way, you will end up with a fun new hobby and TONS of crocheted projects. I can't wait to see how much you guys learn by the end of my blog! Goodbye!
